In addition to Dr. Gooi’s 18 publications, he has presented over 30 papers at International and Canadian meetings. He has been invited as a guest lecturer and surgical instructor to over 10 courses at International and Canadian symposia. Dr. Gooi teaches undergraduate students, medical students, and residents in clinic and in the operating room. He has an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and has partners in Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics. His group currently is the world leader in publications on the use of GoPRO® cameras in Medicine.
Dr. Christopher Hanson stands at the forefront of medical education and resident learning in ophthalmology, demonstrating unwavering commitment and expertise in his role as the Assistant Residency Program Director as well as Associate Professor for the Ophthalmology Residency Program at the University of Calgary.
As the Assistant Director, Dr. Hanson helps orchestrate and guide the organization of resident learning in Ophthalmology, shaping the educational landscape for aspiring ophthalmologists. Specializing in both medical and surgical comprehensive ophthalmology, Dr. Hanson brings a wealth of knowledge to his practice, enriching the learning experiences of residents under his guidance.
Dr. Micah Luong stands as an exceptionally accomplished dual-trained doctor in Optometry and Ophthalmology, bringing a wealth of expertise to his practice.
In addition to his extensive affiliations, Dr. Luong is the proud owner of two Optometry clinics, where his commitment to patient care has reached astronomical heights. His influence and impact extend beyond clinical settings, as he generously shares his knowledge and support throughout the province of Alberta. Driven by an exceptionally sharp mind, Dr. Luong has achieved remarkable success while balancing the responsibilities of a young family, a testament to his dedication and exceptional multitasking abilities.
